AJ's first trip to National Zoo

Alan and I decided that it was time to take AJ to the zoo. We figured he is now old enough to enjoy looking at the animals. Even though AJ loved the animals, the zoo was under construction and he spotted every digger and truck at the zoo. He let everyone know that was nearby what he saw. He seemed to really like the elephants and monkeys the best. We walked the whole park which was downhill. The bad news is that we had to walk all the way back and go uphill. I think I got my exercise for the week. I was tempted to sit in the stroller and have AJ sit on my lap. We had such a good time and look forward to our next trip to the zoo.

Easter Fun

AJ was very interested in this holiday that involved candy inside eggs and a giant walking bunny. He seemed more interested in his Easter basket than he was opening up his Christmas presents. We celebrated Easter with family at Maw Maw and Pop Pop's. AJ enjoyed the day so much that he missed his nap. He played, went on an Easter egg hunt and ate a lot of food. Before the day was over, the Easter bunny arrived with prizes for all. AJ thought the bunny was quite funny but didn't want to be held by the bunny. The weather was beautiful and the day was enjoyed by all.

Airport Fun

Alan took AJ to our little local airport today since he LOVES airplanes. Imagine that??? They walked around and a retired Navy Pilot invited them to check out his little plane. AJ was in his glory!

New Trick

AJ discovered that he can balance his utensils on his head. I was doing dishes and heard him laughing. When I looked over I saw him balancing his spoon on his head. He had so much fun that I think more of his yogurt was in his hair by the end then in his mouth. He took a pretty good fall on his bike this morning as you will notice by the big red marks in the next few posts to come.
